Pennants for Lockers

Hi Everyone -

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Holiday.  Did anyone do any Black Friday shopping.  I did venture out to Wal-Mart.  Did not get everything I wanted but I did get a Wii for my daughter and some other household things.  Over all I was pretty happy to get out of there in one piece.  I typically do not venture out to the retail stores on Black Friday.  I did shop JoAnn's online and Custom Crops online so I do have a few crafty things on the way.

Today I am sharing some pennants I made at my daughter's request.  She is a cheerleader and wanted to hang these on all the basketball and cheerleader's lockers.   Sorry for the mess on my desk.  This is a photo I took with my cell phone to send her a picture to see if this is what she had in mind.
Supplies: Cardstock (American Crafts), Quick Dry adhesive (Scotch), and Cricut, Gypsy, Locker Talk, Base Camp, 3 Birds-Life's a Party cartridges (Provo Craft).

Halloween Layout

Hi Everyone -

Seems like it has been a while since I posted.  Thanks for hanging in there with my Halloween series.  I finally completed my layout from my daughter's Halloween dance last year.  She went as a Queen Bee.  :)
Just click on the photo for an enlarged image.  I used several cartridges on this layout.  The pumpkins are from Create a Critter.  The phrases are from Mini Monsters. "Queen Bee" is actually from Kate's ABC's  and it originally said "for Queen Bee" but I trimmed the "for" off.  The 2010 is from the Black Letter Solutions cartridge.

Supplies:  Cardstock (American Crafts), Pattern Paper (Cloud 9), Stickles (Ranger), Dimensionals (Stampin Up!), Cricut, Black Letter, Create a Critter, Kate's ABC's and Mini Monsters cartridges (Provo Craft), Ribbon (Offray), & Boarder Punch (EK Success).

MPS Christmas Card Challenge

Hello Everyone -

I thought I would take a little break in my Halloween Series to participate in My Pink Stamper's Christmas Card Challenge.  I just got Jolly Holidays last month from Cricut.com.  I had not idea they had that online and have been supper bummed since last year when it sold out at Wal-Mart.  I must have been living in a cave not to know it was there but luckily I got my order in and now I am so excited to make lots of Christmas Cards this year.
Supplies:  Cardstock (The Paper Co.), Tinsel & Demensionals (Stampin Up!), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Cuttle Bug, Jolly Holidays, D'vine Swirls & Snowflakes embossing folder (Provo Craft).

I will be back to Halloween soon.  I have some more cards and a 2 page layout I am putting the finishing touches on.

Halloween Series

Hi Everyone -

I thought I would do a Halloween Series this year.  I have so many card and treat ideas I want to share.  My goal is one per week up to Halloween....we shall see if I can make it.  LOL.  The first card I made is this cute little witch card.
I am in love with my new Mini Monsters cartridge.  I know it came out last season but it's new to me.  ;)  I also love the mat stacks from Die Cuts with a View.  The are perfect for cards.  This paper made the layering super easy and I trimmed the greeting from a strip pattern in the stack.  I of course dug out my Drippy Goo boarder punch from Martha Stewart.  Anyone else remember when that was so hard to find?  It was so worth it because I still love that punch.
Supplies:  Cardstock (The Paper Co. & DCWV), Stickles (Ranger), Dimensionals (Stampin Up!), Cricut & Mini Monsters (Provo Craft), Drippy Goo Boarder Punch (Martha Stewart Crafts).

Thanks for stopping by.  Stay tuned for more Halloween projects.

Have a Crafty Day!

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop & Challenge

Hi Everyone -

So Friday was My Pink Stamper's blog hop and challenge.  It was a fun one with a little twist.  It was a school theme but no card or scrapbook layout.  I loved what everyone has done so far.  I made a quick little book mark that is going to go into a teacher's care package.  I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge with my Gypsy to stretch a tag into a book mark and I sized another one about a quarter inch smaller for the layer.  The apple with the books is from Hello Kitty Greetings.
Supplies:  Cardstock (The Paper Co.), White Gel Pen (Uniball Signo), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy, Tags, Bags, Boxes and More & Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridges (Provo Craft), Crop-a-dile & Eyelet (We R Memory Keepers), Ribbon & Dimensionals (Stampin Up!).

Thanks for looking!  I had fun with this challenge.  :)

On an upcoming note:  Watch for my Halloween series beginning soon!

Happy Labor Day!

Hello -

It is Labor Day here in the US.  I am enjoying a day off work and will most likely go over to the labor day picnic and check out the craft fair.  This is sort of the end of summer and I love that it means my favorite season, Autumn is just around the corner.  So today's card features an autumn tree cut from Simply Charmed.  I chose not to cut the smiley face for this one.  This is a great all season cartridge.  The paper is from the new fall mat stack from DCWV.
Cardstock (DCWV & Stampin Up!), Stamp (Hero Arts), Ink (CTMH), Dimensionals (Stampin UP!), Cricut & Simply Charmed (Provo Craft).

Hi Everyone -

Today's card I am sharing was inspired by two challenges.  The first challenge was posted on the Cricut Cardz Challenge blog.  It was to use a heart on a thank you card with no pink or red.  The second challenge was with the Pinkalicious blog hop at My Pink Stamper.  It was to show your style making your favorite thing.  My style is glitter, cricut, boarder punches and I love to make cards.

Supplies:  Cardstock (DCWV & The Paper Co.), Stamp (My Pink Stamper), Cricut & DoodleCharms Cartridge (Provo Craft), Liquid Pearls (Ranger), Dimensionals (Stampin Up!), Ink (CTMH), Boarder Punch (Martha Stewart Crafts), Corner Punch (We R Memory Keepers).

I am having fun checking out everyone's creations for these challenges.

Berry-licious

Today's card is one I am sharing with the Cricut Cardz Challenge #86.  This week's challenge was 'Tutti Fruiti" (make a card using fruit).  Click HERE for the direct blog link.

I used the Simply Charmed cartridge along with a stamp sentiment from My Pink Stamper.  The embossing folder on the strawberry is one from Indentz called Ellipse. Inspiration for this card came from My Pink Stamper.  I just put my own spin on it.
Supplies: Cardstock (DCWV), Stamp (My Pink Stamper), Embossing Folder (Indentz), Ink (CTMH), Boarder Punch (Martha Stewart Crafts), Cricut & Simply Charmed Cartridge (Provo Craft).

Hello Kitty Cheerleader

Hello -

I hope everyone is enjoying these last few weeks before school starts.  Ours will be back in session on 8/17.  This year will be so bitter sweet for me.  My baby will be a senior.  I still remember the 1st day of kindergarten like it was yesterday.  She was such a brave girl and did not shed one tear...it was me however crying when I got back to my car.  They grow up so fast!

I hope to get in some crafty time this weekend.  In the meantime, I wanted to share this card I made earlier this week showing some school spirit.  Since my daughter is on the cheer/dance team I could not resist cutting this cute shaped card from Hello Kitty Greetings.
Supplies:  Cardstock (American Crafts & CTMH), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy & Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge (Provo Craft).

My Pink Stamper Design Team Call...

Hi everyone-

Robyn (aka My Pink Stamper) is having a design team call for her fabulous stamp line.  Her challenge for this project is:  Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite Cricut cartridge using the following colors......

Orange
Turquoise
Green
Brown
(other optional color of your choice)

There are a few more parameters as well.  Click HERE to see the full post on Robyn's blog and all the other great entries.
A little something that some of you may know is that this was the exact reason I started my blog over a year ago.  I would love the honor of being on this design team because it would be so great to give back to so many who have inspired me.

My project for submission is one I made using Kate's ABCs.  The color challenge really brought this card together.  I used a sentiment from My Pink Stamper's Everyday Life set on the inside.

Supplies:  Cardstock (American Crafts & DCWV), Kate's ABCs, Gypsy, Cricut (Provo Craft), Sentiment Stamp (My Pink Stamper), Dimensionals (Stampin Up!), Ink (CTMH), White Gel Pen (Uniball Signo).

I wish all the entries good luck.  They all look great and I am thankful I am not the one choosing.

Have a crafty day!

Surf's Up!

Hello -

Hope everyone is doing well.  I have just been up to so much.  Nothing real exciting but busy with work and catching up from the holiday weekend.  I did squeeze in some time for a quick card.  This was super easy.  The paper is from a DCWV mat stack.  I stamped the Surf's Up! sentiment directly to the paper.  The surf board was stamped on the stripe pattern paper and cut it out and put it on the card with dimensionals.
Supplies: Cardstock & Ink (CTMH), Pattern Paper (DCWV), Demensionals (Stampin Up!), Stamps (The Stamps of Life).

Thanks for visiting.  Have a crafty day!

Hello -

Can you believe it is the one year anniversary of the start of my blog.  Click HERE to check out that very 1st post.  This all started for a requirement of a design team entry.  While I did not make the design team I did discover the rewarding process of blogging.  I truly enjoy sharing what I create and I love to hear comments and see new followers.  Thank you to everyone to checks in from time to time.

Today I am going to share a card I made with my favorite cartridge, Create a Critter.  I also used Kate's ABC's and Home Accents solution cartridges.  I welded the scallop boarder on the Home Accents cartridge to create the card.
Supplies:  Cardstock (American Crafts), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy, Create a Critter, Kate's ABC's & Home Accents Solutions cartridges (Provo Craft).

Challenge and Recipe Share.

Hi Everyone -

I hope everyone is having a happy father's day weekend.  Tomorrow we will be having a BBQ in honor of my dad!  Can't wait.  My brother is doing the actual grilling and I am making the family's new favorite baked beans recipe.  I tried a recipe called Ultimate Baked Beans that Amanda from www.kevinandamanda.com shared and my family just loved it.  It is now my most requested dish.  Check it out HERE.  I promise it is so delicious.

Now I also wanted to share a card I made today for a My Pink Stamper Card Challenge.  You can see the other participants and details HERE.  It is a birthday theme challenge.  Everyone is sharing such great things.  I pulled out a oldie but goodie cartridge.  The Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge had such fun shaped cards.
Supplies:  Cardstock (American Crafts), Stickles & Pearls (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy & Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge (Provo Craft).

I will be checking out everyone's  great projects.  I hope you do too!  Be sure to leave a comment or follow my blog.  Thanks for looking!

June Pinkalicious Blog Hop (a little late)...

Hi everyone -

Even though I am 'behind' lately I could not let a My Pink Stamper Pinkalicious blog hop pass me by.  This month's theme was anything summer.  So far everyone has made GREAT projects.  I was inspired to make some shaped cards.  I thought the ice cream theme screamed summer.
Both cards were cut using the card feature.  I just used my Gypsy to make sure they would still fit in a A2 size envelope.

Supplies: Cardstock (American Crafts), Cricut, Gypsy, Sweet Treats cartridge (Provo Craft), Stickles (Ranger).

Have a Great Day!  I love Reading your comments.

Mushroom Card

Hi -

Today's card features Kate's ABCs.  These mushrooms and the butterfly were all one button on the cartridge.  I also used my new Martha Stewart punch on the sides for a bit of interest.  It is called Double Arches and it is a large punch around the page set.  It is hard to tell but I also used some liquid glass from CTMH inside the polka dots on the mushroom and on the body of the butterfly.
Supplies: Cardstock & Liquid Glass (CTMH), Dimensionals (Stampin Up!), Pattern Paper (DCWV), Cricut & Kate's ABCs (Provo Craft), Boarder Punch (Martha Stewart Crafts).

Thanks for stopping by.  I love to read your comments.

Happy Memorial Day...

On this Memorial Day weekend I would first like to take a moment to remember all the men and women who have sacrificed their life while serving in the various branches of the military to ensure our country's freedoms.  I also want to thank all our troops for serving our great country right now.

I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend and spending time with their loved ones.  I had a little time yesterday and I reorganized my Cricut cartridges.  I am mainly a Gypsy user.  I don't have a large craft space and it is much easier if I can keep my cartridges tucked away.  However, I still miss the hand books and I often find myself digging them out just to see what exactly that little cut is and how is it layered.  So I have pulled the handbooks out of each of the boxes.  I left the cartridge and the overlay in the original box.  I found these Sterilite boxes at Dollar General for $3 each.  I bought one for my shapes and one for my fonts.  I only have about 35 cartridges and this worked out great.  The dimensions of the boxes are 11" x 6 5/8" x 5 3/8".  I tore out all the non-english pages to make the booklets smaller and I can fit about 18-20 in each box.  This takes up a whole lot of less space than the big rubbermaid tub with my boxes that I have now slipped into my closet.
I realize this only works for Gypsy users.  Maybe there are others like me in that department.  This is working great for me but I am always on the look out for good storage ideas so if I come up with something different I will let you know.

Have a safe holiday weekend.

Happy Sunday

Hi Everyone -

I hope you had a great weekend.  We had a little rain but a fair amount of sunshine too.  Today I am sharing another card from Kate's ABCs.  This ice cream sundae just looks so delicious! Once again I made the edge with my gypsy and a border from the Home Decor solutions cartridge.
Supplies:  Cardstock (CTMH), Pattern Paper (Stampin Up!), Ribbon (AC), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy, Kate's ABCs & Home Decor (Provo Craft).

Cat and Fish Card

Hi -

Today's card features another image from Kate's ABCs.  I cut the cat in white but I am thinking it would have looked better in a darker color.  The manual featured a brown cat.  I'm not sure about this card but I thought it was worth sharing because I do like the fish tank and bubbles.  I made the shaped card by welding together a rectangle from George and Basic Shapes with a border from the Home Decor solutions cartridge.
Supplies: Cardstock (CTMH), Pattern Paper (Stampin Up!), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy, Kate's ABCs, George and Basic Shapes & Home Decor cartridges (Provo Craft).

Thanks for looking.  I hope you have a crafty day!
