My Pinkalicious Blog Hop & Challenge

Hi Everyone -

So Friday was My Pink Stamper's blog hop and challenge.  It was a fun one with a little twist.  It was a school theme but no card or scrapbook layout.  I loved what everyone has done so far.  I made a quick little book mark that is going to go into a teacher's care package.  I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge with my Gypsy to stretch a tag into a book mark and I sized another one about a quarter inch smaller for the layer.  The apple with the books is from Hello Kitty Greetings.
Supplies:  Cardstock (The Paper Co.), White Gel Pen (Uniball Signo), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy, Tags, Bags, Boxes and More & Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridges (Provo Craft), Crop-a-dile & Eyelet (We R Memory Keepers), Ribbon & Dimensionals (Stampin Up!).

Thanks for looking!  I had fun with this challenge.  :)

On an upcoming note:  Watch for my Halloween series beginning soon!

Hello Kitty Cheerleader

Hello -

I hope everyone is enjoying these last few weeks before school starts.  Ours will be back in session on 8/17.  This year will be so bitter sweet for me.  My baby will be a senior.  I still remember the 1st day of kindergarten like it was yesterday.  She was such a brave girl and did not shed one tear...it was me however crying when I got back to my car.  They grow up so fast!

I hope to get in some crafty time this weekend.  In the meantime, I wanted to share this card I made earlier this week showing some school spirit.  Since my daughter is on the cheer/dance team I could not resist cutting this cute shaped card from Hello Kitty Greetings.
Supplies:  Cardstock (American Crafts & CTMH), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy & Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge (Provo Craft).

Challenge and Recipe Share.

Hi Everyone -

I hope everyone is having a happy father's day weekend.  Tomorrow we will be having a BBQ in honor of my dad!  Can't wait.  My brother is doing the actual grilling and I am making the family's new favorite baked beans recipe.  I tried a recipe called Ultimate Baked Beans that Amanda from www.kevinandamanda.com shared and my family just loved it.  It is now my most requested dish.  Check it out HERE.  I promise it is so delicious.

Now I also wanted to share a card I made today for a My Pink Stamper Card Challenge.  You can see the other participants and details HERE.  It is a birthday theme challenge.  Everyone is sharing such great things.  I pulled out a oldie but goodie cartridge.  The Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge had such fun shaped cards.
Supplies:  Cardstock (American Crafts), Stickles & Pearls (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy & Hello Kitty Greeting cartridge (Provo Craft).

I will be checking out everyone's  great projects.  I hope you do too!  Be sure to leave a comment or follow my blog.  Thanks for looking!

Canvas Wall Art

Hello everyone.  We are having another bit of a cold snap here in the mid-west.  Spring like temps last week and freezing rain this morning.  Go figure.  Today's post is a wall hanging my daughter (17) made for a nine year old girl's upcoming birthday.  She raided my stash of canvases that I stocked up on so long ago when I thought I would alter them for home decor.  I was happy to see some of them used up.  I used the font on the Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge to cut the letters for her and she did the rest.  She even made the bunched up satin flower on the ribbon hanger on top.

Supplies: Ribbon (Offray & American Crafts), Cardstock (American Crafts), Acrylic Paint, Buttons, Flowers, Brads (misc.), Rhinestones (CTMH), Cricut, Winter Woodland & Hello Kitting Greetings Cartridges (Provo Craft), Staple Gun.

I love my Gypsy!

Hello, Hello, Hello,

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  It is finally getting a little chilly outside and I love it.  Autumn is my favorite time of year.  I got my Gypsy a week or so ago and I just love it.  I have all my carts linked up and I have several cuts planned and saved but not a whole lot of time to craft.  Today however I got up early and got this scrapbook page done.  I intend to get a pic of my daughter reading to put on here.  She just loves a good book and with my new Create a Critter Cartridge and my Gypsy I made this cute page.

First I want to show you a close up of my Gypsy screen and how I laid out my mat.  This is going to make using my scrap super easy!
Also, I was able to use my Create a Critter and my Hello Kitty Greeting cartridges at the same time without the hassle of switching cartridges.  {Like I said I LOVE IT!!!}

I did not cut into one whole piece of cardstock.  I dug through my scrap pile for all of these.  {As you can see I also invested in a cute pink skin and I added ribbon to the stylus so I can keep track of it on my work space.}

So Cute!  I just love how it turned out.  Oh and the grass is the negative from the grass I cut a time before that was laying with my scraps.  The Green piece for the tree was also a scrap that I almost threw out because it was bent but then I wrinkled the whole piece after I cut it to give my tree a little more texture.  I used my Gypsy to weld the title.  So much easier than putting down each letter and trying to get them straight!

Supplies: Cardstock: American Crafts, Paper: MME, Cricut v1, Gypsy, Create a Critter, Hello Kitty Greetings, Plantin School Book, Gypsy Wanderings, Adhesive: ATG & Foam Squares

Is it hot enough for you?

Boy oh boy, it is so hot here in the mid west right now. Heat index was 110 today and with the humidity it is pretty miserable to spend any amount of time outside. That being said my teenager took over my craft supplies and made a couple of things. I think they turned out really cute.

First is a card she made. It is a standard size card and she went to town on the stickles. She loves glitter! :)

Supplies: Paper-DCWV Sweet Treats, Cardstock-American Crafts, Stickles-Ranger, Cricut, Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge, Doodlecharms cartridge.

Her next project is a mini composition book she covered to write assignments in at school.
