Mushroom Card

Hi -

Today's card features Kate's ABCs.  These mushrooms and the butterfly were all one button on the cartridge.  I also used my new Martha Stewart punch on the sides for a bit of interest.  It is called Double Arches and it is a large punch around the page set.  It is hard to tell but I also used some liquid glass from CTMH inside the polka dots on the mushroom and on the body of the butterfly.
Supplies: Cardstock & Liquid Glass (CTMH), Dimensionals (Stampin Up!), Pattern Paper (DCWV), Cricut & Kate's ABCs (Provo Craft), Boarder Punch (Martha Stewart Crafts).

Thanks for stopping by.  I love to read your comments.

Cat and Fish Card

Hi -

Today's card features another image from Kate's ABCs.  I cut the cat in white but I am thinking it would have looked better in a darker color.  The manual featured a brown cat.  I'm not sure about this card but I thought it was worth sharing because I do like the fish tank and bubbles.  I made the shaped card by welding together a rectangle from George and Basic Shapes with a border from the Home Decor solutions cartridge.
Supplies: Cardstock (CTMH), Pattern Paper (Stampin Up!), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy, Kate's ABCs, George and Basic Shapes & Home Decor cartridges (Provo Craft).

Thanks for looking.  I hope you have a crafty day!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #74

First let me say I am so happy Blogger is back and fully functioning.  Some lost some posts and/or comments during the outage but most of it came back.

Today I am participating in a Cricut Cardz Challenge.  This is the first time I am participating since I just found this blog.  There is a lot of great designers over there and I am liking what I have seen so far.

Challenge #74 was to create a new baby card.  I ended up making two since I wanted to cut more on my cardstock I loaded on my mat.  I used the Life's a Party cartridge for both (including the shaped cards).  I used my Gypsy on the shaped cards with the real dial size icon to get my cards exactly A2 size.

Supplies: Cardstock & Ribbon (CTMH), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy & Life's a Party cartridge (Provo Craft).

Thanks for looking.  Have a great weekend!

My Pink Stamper's Blog Hop Challenge

Hi Crafters - I'm a little late getting this done but I have been super busy these past couple of days getting errands done and helping my daughter with last minute things for Prom.  She is on the prom committee so we have been cutting lots of stars and student's names with the Cricut for the party favor boxes.

Robyn's challenge was anything birthday.  I made this cute card for an upcoming birthday from the Wild Card cartridge.

Supplies: Cardstock (Bazzil), Paper (We R Memory Keepers), Ink (CTMH), Stamps (The Stamps of Life), Stickles (Ranger), Cuttle Bug, Divine Swirls Embossing Folder, Cricut, Wild Card Cartridge (Provo Craft).

Oh Happy Day

Hello fellow crafters.  I hope you are having a fabulous day.  The sun is shining and I have spent my morning on my deck enjoying my hot tea (I'm not a coffee fan) and the latest Paper Crafts magazine.  It is so nice outside and I just wanted to enjoy it before the rain comes in this evening.

I spent some time with my Cricut the other day.  The picture is not the greatest but none the less I wanted to share.  It features the whale from Create a Critter and the stamped sentiment is from the Punny-Licious set by My Pink Stamper.

Supplies: Cardstock & Ink (CTMH), Pattern Paper (MME), Stamp (My Pink Stamper), White Gel Pen (Uni-ball Signo), Stickles (Ranger), Cricut & Create a Critter cartridge (Provo Craft).

I hope the sun is shining where you are today.  As always comments are appreciated.  Thanks for looking.  :)

Wedding Card

Another Wild Card Cricut cartridge creation. A dear friend of mine got married last month and I had to make her a special card. She is also a scrapbooker so I knew she would enjoy a hand made card.

I used my Gypsy so I could make sure I sized it to fit into a regular A2 size envelope since I needed to mail it.
The sentiment stamps on both the outside and inside of the card are from My Pink Stamper.
The stamp on the back is a favorite from The Stamps of Life. I just get a kick out of it!

Supplies: Cardstock (American Crafts), Stamps (The Stamps of Life & My Pink Stamper), Ink & Bling(CTMH), Stickles & Pearl Stickles (Ranger), Cricut, Gypsy & Wild Card Cartridge (Provo Craft).

Wild Card - Get Well Soon

I finally (FINALLY) got the Wild Card cartridge.  I have wanted it since it debuted forever ago but I had the baby bug and all the reviews basically said don't bother without the expression it is just not worth it.  I could see their point since you are limited in size with the original cricut.  But since I got an expression for Christmas I picked up this cartridge from Custom Crops on my last order.  This is one of the first cards I made (will not be the last).  It was so easy and I made the matching envelope.  I just thought it was too cute.

Supplies: Cardstock (Stampin Up!, American Crafts), Stamp (The Stamps of Life), Ink (CTMH).

Have a crafty day!

MPS Challenge Response

On March 1st Robyn posted a challenge on her My Pink Stamper Blog and I thought I would play along.  Her challenge was to create any project using a feathered friend.  I just got the Paisley cartridge so I had to use one of the owls.  Although the branch is from Create a Critter.
Supplies: Cardstock (American Crafts, Stampin Up!, Close to my Heart & DCWV), White Gel Pen (Uniball Signo), Boarder Punch (Martha Stewart Crafts), Ribbon & Ink (CTMH), Stamp (My Pink Stamper-Punnylicious), Cricut, Gypsy, Paisley & Create a Critter Cartridges (Provo Craft).

Comments and constructive feedback are always appreciated.  Have a crafty day!

It's Friday...

Yippee it's the weekend.  I don't have any big plans just happy to have a few days of rest and relaxation.

Today I am sharing another card that is stamped.  I think the color scheme is a little fall but they all really go together nicely.  The Sentiment says "My Heart is Full".  Exactly how I feel today!
Supplies: Cardstock, Pattern Paper, Stamps, Ink, Ribbon, Hardware (CTMH), White Gel Pen (Uni ball Signo).

Where has the time gone???

Wow - February is just zipping by and I have been super busy with lots of things changing.  I feel like I have left all my new followers out on a limb but I am going to have a little more time for crafting and I even have a project by my daughter to share when she finishes up later.

Today's card is all stamping and no Cricut.  I am just as shocked as you.  ;)  I forgot how much fun stamping can be!

Supplies: Cardstock, Pattern Paper, Stamps, Ink, Ric Rack, Brad (CTMH)

You've Got Mail...

That's what I calling this card.  I am not sure I am crazy about my color selections on this one but I love the cricut cut.  I don't know maybe I will try it again with different colors?  Oh and I actually tied a real bow on this one.  I normally cheat and just do a knot.  ;)
Supplies:  Cardstock & Ink (CTMH), Stickles (Ranger), Boarder Punch & Dimensionals (Stampin Up!), Ribbon (American Crafts), Stamp (My Pink Stamper), Cricut & Doodlecharms Cartridge (Provo Craft).

I want to thank everyone of my followers.  You make me want to craft more and hopefully inspire you.  I love comments so thanks for taking the time.  I am also having fun checking our all of your blogs!  Thank you for sharing your creativity too!!

Mouse Valentine

Hello -

Today's card features yet again another cute creature from Create a Critter.  I used the flip feature on my Cricut Expression (can be done on the Gypsy too) to get two mice to face each other and the rest was my daughter's creation.  The concept was her idea and when she explained it to me I got excited to try the flip feature.  She used a sponge dauber to create her back ground.  The little flower in the girl mouse's hair and the flower the boy mouse is holding is from an EK Success boarder punch that she pieced together.  I think it is just the cutest card.
Supplies: Cardstock & Ink (CTMH), Stamp (My Pink Stamper), Ribbon (American Crafts), Stickles (Ranger), Boarder Punch (EK Success), Cricut & Create a Critter Cartridge (Provo Craft).

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a crafty day!

Design Team Call

Okay so one of my favorite stampers and cricut users who has a ton of you tube videos and has provided a constant source of inspiration to me has announced that she has two spots to fill on her design team.  Robyn from My Pink Stamper has inspired me for over a year on you tube.  I am a big fan of her DVDs and her stamps so I had to at least submit an entry.

The full details for the design team call can be found on Robyn's blog here.  The basic rules are to use Pink, Green and Brown plus one additional color of your choice.  I chose to make a Valentine card featuring a stamp from My Pink Stamper's Punnylicious set.

Supplies: Cardstock (American Crafts & Stampin Up!), Stickles (Ranger), Stamps (My Pink Stamper), Cricut with Create a Critter cartridge (Provo Craft), Ink (CTMH), White Gel Pen (Signo), Dimensionals (Stampin Up!), Ribbon (misc.).

I'm crossing my fingers I get chosen because it would be such an honor.  Wish me luck!

PS:  I would love to have more followers and/or comments.  I would welcome the feedback.  :)

Count down to Christmas...

Wow. Dec. 1st already?  The countdown is on.  I have almost all my shopping done.  I just have to come up with something for a few more people and then I will be done.  I hope to wrap up all my shopping this weekend.  I hate waiting until the last minute.  I am also hoping the tree will be up this weekend.  I already went with my daughter to Hallmark to let her get her ornament.  She has been collecting the angel series for 4 or 5 years now. Seeing the new one in the series is one of her favorite things to do each year.

The card I am sharing today features a cupcake from Gypsy Wanderings and a sentiment from My Pink Stamper stamps.  I still think cupcake cards are just too cute!
Supplies: Cricut: Gypsy Wanderings; Boarder Punch: Stampin Up; Stamp: My Pink Stamper; Ink: CTMH; Cardstock: DCWV, American Crafts, CTMH.

The Cricut Expression....

Yes!  There will be a new Cricut Expression under the tree waiting for me Christmas morning.  :)  As much as I want to start using it now it would not be fair since I am also wrapping some stuff for my daughter that of course she already knows about and making her wait.  I have been wanting this one for a long time and I could not pass up Wal-Mart's black friday deal.
Cricut Expression Electronic Cutter, Aqua
Out of the four colors Wal-Mart has this year I chose the aqua blue one.  I was really wanting one last year but it was not in the budget.  This one is way cute though so it was worth the wait!  Did anyone else get any really good deals on something you have been wanting for a long time?

In honor of my 'stinkin' cute' new Cricut I am sharing this card I made.  The phrase stamp is from the Punny-licious set by My Pink Stamper.  It works great with the Create a Critter cartridge.  I hope you have a crafty day!
